Mashad is a city located in Razavi Khorasan Province in North-Eastern Iran and is known as a place of religious pilgrimage. Mashad rugs are mostly curvilinear with a single central medallion, corner floral designs, and floral motifs in the background woven on a cotton foundation with a wool pile. Common colors are deep red, wine, navy blue, light blue, and ivory. These classic rugs would be a fine addition to any living space.
